Today we welcomed the Netherton Friendship Club to our Museum a group of 38 lovely people who were a pleasure to show our museum to, everyone was engaging and asked lots of questions, which was great for my mam and I to be able to answer their queries.

The photograph on the left caught the eye of a gentleman from the group today who recognised the people in the photogragh and knows the families within the editorial, he had gone to school with some of them, it was very interesting to hear about his connection with the family.  A real blast from the past for him.

The prams we have on display in the museum caused quite a stir with some of tbe ladies from todays group, as some remember having a dolls pram like the ones we have, then others remember having the larger pram for their own children.  It was very interesting hearing all their lovely memories.

"It really is like walking down memory lane"; one lady said to me as she reminised about when Romanies she saw pulled on a large grass verge when she walked to school then home again, and how she looked for them when she came home one day and they had moved on.

Thank you all for taking the time to come and spend time with us today and having a chat over a cup of tea and a biscuit.

Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
